Wilmington Youth Lacrosse Association (WYLA) was founded in 2004 as a non-profit organization with the sole objective to provide the children and families of Wilmington the opportunity to learn the game of lacrosse in a safe environment that provides an opportunity for all players of all abilities to develop skills and game knowledge. WYLA emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play and respect for all and works with the children and families, regardless of ability, in a sports setting, to foster and promote understanding in the fundamentals and the fine points of lacrosse.
Our objective is to keep registration fees low so as to provide the opportunity to play to as many children in the community as possible. The support of individuals and business in Wilmington and the surrounding communities has been tremendous. We thank you all.
As we prepare for the 2008 spring season, WYLA is excited to once again expand our program by offering an All-Girls’ Lacrosse Program at the youth level and an Enhanced U9 Developmental Program. Additionally, WYLA continues to assist with the development and financing of the Wilmington High School boys and girls lacrosse teams with an addtiaonl Boys HS team added this year.
As one might expect, continued growth sparks the need to raise funds to support all of our teams and the ever increasing expenses to cover league fees, referees, practice space, field equipment and more. We ask for your support, either through your generous contribution or through your donation to serve as a means to advertise your business 2008 WYLA Roster and Schedule Book.
