Preseason Training

2012 Indoor Preseason Training Information

The Wilmington Youth Lacrosse Association is proud to announce an awesome opportunity for all WYLA players to begin working on their lacrosse skills and getting into shape for the 2012 outdoor lacrosse season. Wilmington Youth Lacrosse, in conjunction with Aces Wild Lacrosse and the brand new Rams Athletic Complex in North Reading will be offering preseason lacrosse instruction and training beginning next week on January 31 and extending for six weeks until March 8th. Training will take place at the Rams Athletic Complex on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with Tuesday nights being open to girls in the program while Thursday night will be open to boys in the program.

We apologize for the short notice but it was only this week that we were able to secure the use of the Rams Athletic facility as well as solidify commitments from coaches to run the clinics. New Wilmington Boys Lacrosse Head Coach and President of Aces Wild Lacrosse, Kieran Kavanaugh will run the clinics along with a hand selected group of high school and college coaches and former players.

The brand new, state of the art Rams Athletic Complex is located just outside of town on Concord Street at 23 Concord Street in North Reading. To find out more about this wonderful facility, you can check out their website at www.ramsathleticcomplex.com

There is NO COST to attend the training sessions and while we certainly encourage all of our players, old and new, to come out once a week for some practice, participation is not mandatory.

WYLA Preseason Forms

The "Wilmington Indoor Lacrosse Schedule" form gives all date and time information for which gender/age group each night is open to. The second form is the "Wilmington Indoor Lacrosse Waiver" and it MUST be filled out and turned in the first time you attend a training session.

In addition to filling out the waiver, we require all players to bring full equipment to the training sessions. The WYLA always emphasizes safety for our sons and daughters and we want our players to participate in as safe an atmosphere as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I hope you all take some time this weekend to pull out the lacrosse stick, dust off the equipment and get ready to come out and prepare for the 2012 Wilmington Youth Lacrosse Season.

GO WILDCATS!!!
